How it happened...

Like many other fine midnight hikes in the wilderness, Kim, Trent and 7 other sleepy hikers headed out of Yosemite Valley up to Half Dome.  After 5 and a half hours of dodging bears and other nocturnal stirring creatures along the trail, the group headed up the cables right in time to catch the sunrise coming down the face of the rock.  In celebration at the top enjoying the great view 4700 ft above the valley floor with the sunrise shadow of  Half Dome blanketing the valley, we headed out to the edge of the "diving board" to get an epic photo.  Aaron snapped the photo of us dangling near the edge before turning to enjoy the other views.  Not long after, did Aaron see a glimmer as Kim reached into her pocket to pull out not one, not two, but three rings in hopes that one fit.  Then Kim dropped to one knee and asked to be my adventure life partner in which I replied, yes, hell yes.  We then hugged forever with all fear of being 3 ft from the sharp edge removed until Aaron so promptly reminded us to back away from the edge since we both clearly were in a world of our own.  Kim is always full of surprises so she whipped out a bottle of champagne that she lugged the 10 miles for the 7am celebration that we enjoyed with freshly brewed coffee.
