Wedding Gifts and Registry

Kim and Trent share a dream of traveling the world with currently over 20 countries on our bucket list.  Any contributions to our travel fund will be greatly appreciated.  With ambitious travel plans like this, we need good gear so we have registered at REI as well.  We look forward to sharing each memory from our travels with you.

Our Honeymoon plans:
We will fly into Geneva, Switzerland on May 23rd and rent a car from Renault for three weeks to travel down through Italy and loop up around to Interlaken, Switzerland before our flight back out on June 13th. Our plan is to camp along the way and hopefully spend a couple nights at bed and breakfasts.  Our number one goal is to eat as much fresh Italian food as possible.  We are dreaming of the pasta, pizza, tiramisu and gelato!  We will have to find plenty of hikes along the way to balance out our bad eating habits that I know we will develop. If you have any tips for our travels we would love to hear your advice.

Please Check the Weather and Pack Accordingly

Your comfort is the most important thing.  Ladies please do not wear high heels.  You will be walking on gravel or snow and as the bride I am wearing converse.  The ceremony and reception are at the mid mountain lodge which is around 8,000 feet (ceremony outside).  Please bring a down jacket to ride down the mountain in at the end of the night.  Feel free to pack a little bag with a throw blanket and some layers. You can always change into a dress in the lodge once you are up there if you want to or casual is totally fine as well.  Our goals for this day is for everyone to be comfortable, meet some new people and to have a good time.  If you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact me at kimberlyrshook@gmail.com (530) 401-3628 or Trent trentsward@gmail.com (916) 467-9395.

June Lake Lodging

May in June Lake in considered the off season for lodging but April 30th is the trout fishing season opener so fisherman will be swarming June Lake in early May.  It's important to make reservations early (you can always cancel) to ensure you have a place to stay.  We have outlined some lodging options below to help navigate the opportunities in June Lake.  Any lodging accommodation internet search will yield all of the options.

A) House/Cabin Rentals by Owner: a great option for larger groups to share one large house.  A good option to get quality living space for groups of 8 or more.

B) Condo Rentals: there are many spacious condo options for families or groups that sleep from 6-10 people in 2-3 bedroom condos.  The below links are real estate management companies that handle these properties.  I recommend that condos at Hideaway Down Canyon, Aspen Meadows, and Interlaken.

C) Cabin Rentals: Being a mountain fishing town, June Lake is full of "rustic" cabins with 1-3 bedroom cabins that sleep various numbers of people.  I have linked several cabin rental places below including a few of the fishing resorts. (some cabins in June Lake are very old, if you are sensitive to this ask the sales people because some are remodeling or stick to the condos or the Double Eagle Cabins)
